Planning what to Install on the N900

12 11 2009

Just making a list of applications I’ll be installing on the Nokia N900 when I possibly get it next week from MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk:

Firefox Mobile http://www.mozilla.com/m

All of the following are available from Maemo Select http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/ or Maemo.org Downloads http://maemo.org/downloads/updated/Maemo5 and should be in the repositories when I get the phone:-
Xournal
Conboy
Password Safe
eCoach
OMweather OR ForecaWeather or both?
QIK
gPodder
AlmostTI Graphing Calc Emulator
Documents To Go Viewer
Facebook for NOKIA
FMRadio
Hermes
Load-Applet
Mauku
Personal Dataplan Monitor
Pixelpipe for Nokia Share
TuneWiki
MPlayer
KMplayer
FriendStatus IM Statuses Aggregator
Pyrecipe
Rootsh
MaStory (Used to be Wordpy)
Transmission

Where is Transmission and Vagalume (planned to be ready 11th Dec 2009)? I do hope its in the Extras-Testing Repos.

Everything else should be pre-installed in the N900, so have  I missed off anything?

Is there a Yahoo Messenger app for the N900? As I saw on videos it only has Gmail and Ovi preinstalled.

Thanks

My wish list: Maemo versions for Last.fm, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Google Maps, Nimbuzz, Yahoo! Go, Nokia Internet Radio, JoikuSpot Premium. it’s not much to ask, or is it?

What about Canola, best player for N810 ?

I’ve never been a fan of Canola, installed it a few times on my N800 and always got fustrated with it and quickly removed.

Hopefully I’ll get my N900 and I’ll get to test out again to see if its improved any?
